How we Met...

It all started our freshman year at OSU!  Our paths crossed several times that semester. He always had a huge grin on his face! Little did I know at the time he was absolutely infatuated with me. We became good friends that year. By that summer I was his Phi Iota Little Sister and he was my Phi Sig Big Brother.

I headed back to Chicago that summer, but after a stack of letters back and forth, lots of long distance phone calls, and a dozen roses, things got a bit more serious.

We were engaged my Sophomore year, and our wedding was in Columbus a week after my graduation from OSU. Five years later, we now live in  Rodchester Hills MI with our 3 boys, but our experience at OSU is something we will always treasure.

 Great Mom and Pop Jones

Edgar and Juanita Jones were both born and raised in the Columbus area where they met and fell in love. Together they raised five children Charles, Bobby, James, Francine (my gran gran), and Betty.

Great grandpa Jones worked for the Columbus Dispatch for 25 years until he retired in 1975. Great Grandma Jones was a extraordinary homemaker, mother, and wife.

Edgar James Jones entered eternal life in the fall of 79.  Juanita followed soon after that following spring. They were loved by all who knew them.

 Gran Gran (Francine)

O what can we say about our Gran Gran!  She is an amazing woman.  Born in Columbus OH in 1919. She married  Pop Pop and moved away to Chicago in 77.  There they worked, and started a family. Pop Pop passed away in the spring of 88. Gran moved her and all 3 kids to Columbus. She worked hard to keep the family going, times were hard.  Gran did some clerical work during the day and worked at a sewing factory at night. She had dinner on the table every night, and kept the kids and house spotless.  Gran is an inspiration to us all!
